English Teaching

I am a highly experienced English as a Foreign / Additional Language teacher with over ten years’ experience teaching learners from A2 to C1, both adults and children. I have taught extensively in Japan and the UK, working in language schools, universities, and international and Japanese primary and secondary schools, as well as on intensive academic programmes. I have supported students from a wide range of linguistic and cultural backgrounds, including Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese speakers.

My background in English Language and Communication, CELTA-qualified EFL teaching, and Speech and Language Therapy gives me a strong understanding of how language is learned. My teaching style is friendly, approachable, and flexible, with a focus on clear explanations, grammar accuracy, and practical communication. I aim to make lessons enjoyable while ensuring real, measurable progress, and students consistently give positive feedback for my rapport-building, clarity, and personalised, actionable feedback.

These £5 online English lessons focus on practical, everyday communication.

This is a relaxed space to practise with people from around the world. Speaking activities take place in breakout rooms, so cameras must be switched on during these parts of the session. Unfortunately, if you’re unable to use your camera, you won’t be able to join the breakout rooms.

One-to-One Online English Lessons -£30 per hour

All lessons are tailored to your goals, level, and interests, whether you want to improve everyday communication, academic skills, or exam performance.

Intensive One-to-One English programme -£25 per hour

This intensive package offers eight personalised lessons (four 2 hour slots) each week at a reduced rate of £25 per hour, ideal for rapid progress in a short time.

Sessions are fully adapted to your objectives and level, whether you’re focusing on confident communication, academic English, or exam success. Support is available for General English, EAP, IELTS, LanguageCert, and Trinity exams, using trusted coursebooks such as Language Hub, Empower, Speak Out, and English File, complemented by targeted speaking practice and additional resources.
